Work closely with related departments to purchase materials based on operational requirements and specifications.

Ensure all drawings and specifications are correct and sent to the supplier at the time of order placement.

Agree on costs, delivery schedules, and payment terms.

Ensure all documentation is correct and complies with international purchasing and customs regulations.

Ensure delivery dates are accurate and any changes are communicated to the relevant stakeholders. Follow up with suppliers for issues with late deliveries.

Liaise with finance to assist with any invoicing queries and supplier terms.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, evaluate regular as needed and research new potential suppliers.

Provide market updates, for example, price increases, supplier updates and stay informed on market and industry trends.

Recognise potential purchasing risks and mitigate where possible.

Lead negotiations to ensure efficient workflow and pricing.

Provide metrics to key senior management when required.

Assist with identifying areas for improvement in an effective way.
